These companies are dedicated to meeting the demands of tourists at the highest level—no matter how eccentric they may seem. They can handle everything, making a vacation in Puerto Banús a totally stress-free occasion. That of course is made easier by the fact that Marbella has many years’ experience in catering to an upmarket clientele. Someone, somewhere in the resort town can fulfil the most extravagant needs—if you know where to look.
These concierge services—some are independent companies and others work through exclusive five-star resorts—deal with just about any demand imaginable. From reservations at a Michelin star restaurant to arranging private flights and sight-seeing trips by helicopter, finding works of art and high-end cars (to rent or buy) and arranging personal shopping trips in designer boutiques and jewellery shops, these dedicated companies can arrange just about anything.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper Diario Sur, Julio Roldan, General Manager of leading concierge firm Luxury in Your Life gave an insight into the lives of the super-rich. “In the world of luxury prices, Euros and Dollars are never spoken of. These customers require a service, they are given it, they are told what it costs and they pay.” There is no haggling and in some cases, depending on the customer profile, it is understood that the higher the bill the higher the quality product.
In order to quickly and efficiently meet the wishes of their clients, these specialised firms have contacts with a wide portfolio of companies that can deal with just about any request. One of the more unusual according to Sr. Roldan came from a recent client who wanted to practise his golf swing from aboard his yacht. This might not sound too difficult—except for the fact that he wanted a target to aim for in the middle of the sea. And so a floating green towed behind the yacht was procured, complete with biodegradable golf balls to safeguard the environment. You truly can find anything you want in Marbella!
